Clan MacCallum/Malcolm Society Website

The new Clan MacCallum/Malcolm Society website provides a number of new features for our guests. The first thing you will notice is the new layout. While there are still a few issues, particularly in supporting older web browsers, the site is close to fully functional. All the content of the original should be available although the navigation is a bit different. The site also includes a number of new features, including:

  • Discussion forums
  • Event Calendar
  • Photo Gallery
  • My Clan MacCallum/Malcolm

There is also the possibility of adding new features in the future. This thread is intended ot inform users of what is available and to take suggestions on what new features might be desirable.

Web Improvements

Kudos to Doug McCallum for his intelligent work on the Society's website. The site has been made not only more user-friendly and accessible, it also ranks in the top ten sites globally under "clan society". A lot of work and attention goes into this, and the Society's public profile is elevated as a result. We're fortunate to have a skilled and dedicated webmaster at the helm. Keep up the good work, Doug, and thanks!

Thanks

Thank you for the kind words. It is always nice to know that the site is appreciated.  Work continues and I'm always looking for new ideas and content. We do need new content in order to keep the site relevant to clan members.

Thanks again for the  kind words.

Argent Castle added to website

We've added an Argent Castle section to the website where back issues of the Clan MacCallum/Malcolm Society newsletter will be made available.

Hello to the MacCallum/Malcolm Clan

New Website

I like the features of the new web site, but am having a bit of difficulty making them do what I want them to. I tried setting up an album of photos and successfully uploaded two, but they showed up under "tent hosts" instead of my personal album.  Now I'm struggling with setting up a personal page.  Well, the clan motto isn't "in ardua tendit" for nothing.  Congratulations on the new format.

Re: New Website

I'm still learning some of the new software and will get it running more smoothly over time. Your Album has been moved to a User Contributions area and others will end up there as well.  Thanks for sharing.

New to this website!

I'm very glad to have found this and hope to be able to share and learn more about my proud heritage!
