KILLEAN OLD BURIAL GROUND
Tayinloan, Kintrye
1872 - Erected by Donald McCallum, Road Surveyor, and his brothers in memory of their father Duncan McCallum late weaver at Kilmaluaig aged 77 year and their mother Jane McAllister aged 74 years. Also Archibald's wife Flora McFarlane aged 37 years. Donald McCallum died 29 January 1892 - John McCallum died 13 January 1894. Archibald died at Campbeltown - Donald died at Killean.
Erected by John McCallum in memory of Malcolm McCallum his father who died 1830 aged 66 years.
Erected by Alexander McCallum, teacher Tayintruan, in memory of his wife Jean cMillan who died 17 March 1838 and of his son Archibald who died 9 October 1831 aged 3 years and 9 months. Also of his daughter Mary who died 20 December 1833 aged 5 months. Also of his son James who died 8 January 1832.
Erected by Donald McCallum, Exaise (excise) Officer in memory of his daughter Annabella who died 13 Janr. 181.. aged 10 years.
Erected by Donald McCallum, shepherd Glenmoil, in memory of his mother Janet McMurchy aged 57 years and Duncan his brother aged 29 years. The above Donald McCallum and Christian McCallum his wife are both interred here aged 72 and 68 years respectively.

Erected by William McCallum, tenant at Clonaig, and Sarah McKinnon his spouse in memory of their son William who died 10th February 1824 aged 22 years.
PATCHAN BURIAL GROUND
Sacred to the memory of Malcolm MacCallum who died on the 18th November 1827.
GARTNAGRENACH BURIAL GROUND
Whitehouse, Kilcalmonell Parish
Sacred to the memory of Ann Stewart spouse to Archibald McCallum who died at Dupin 27 April 1836 aged 48 years. And the following family viz.
Archibald died 20 April 1823 aged 3 years
Archibald died 18 June 1827 aged 18 months
Ann died 22 December 1828 aged 6 days
Jean died 22 March 1829 aged 11 years
Erected by her husband and sons.
THE DUKE OF ARGYLL'S 1792 CENSUS
In the year 1792 the Duke of Argyll had a census taken of all the inhabitants residing on his properties in Kintyre. It is noticeable that anyone absent from home on the day of the census was not included in it, e.g. mariners and others temporarily away by virtue of their employment. The first official census in Scotland was not held until 1841.

TORRISDALE - Large farm near Carradale and site of Castle later built in 1815 for General Keith MacAlister of Torrisdale and Loup.
