Native to Sumatra, the "corpse flower" -- officially known as the amorphophallus titanium -- is a mystery flower. The flower starts as a tuber, lives most of its life as one big leaf, and then blooms into a giant, rotting-flesh-smelling flower. Since corpse flowers usually bloom only two or three times in their lives, it is big news when it does happen. In botanical gardens around the country, the amorphophallus titanium flower is emerging in all its stinky glory.

Hello all!   I am new to the site, as well as this forum.   My name is Chris McCollum, and I am interested in finding where my family (and name) orginiated as far back as possible. I am assuming that, since my name is McCollum, I am from the Maccallum clan. But I'd like specific, historical, data to back this. I am sooooo curious to find this information. But, having no experience with geneological searches, I don't know where to begin.
